Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, was released on 11 August 2017. It stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in main roles. It’s first weekend was amazing and the same trend is seen on first Monday at Box Office.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar is gaining audience world wide. It’s reviews are very nice. It is based on the issue of open defecation in rural areas. Audience are really impressed by Akshay’s work. This was another power pack performance of Akshay after Rustom, Airlift and Jolly LLB 2.
Every other day, the films growth is increasing at Box Office. It has collected INR 12Crore on its first Monday. Hence, its total business is INR 62 Crore. It has almost crossed the total business of JAB HARY MET SEJAL of Shah Rukh Khan. Independence day holiday has also contributed to its huge business.
If we look at day wise collection, it took a fair start and collected INR 11.50 Crore on its first day. This movie was released all over India on around 2900 screens. It collected INR 17 Crore on Saturday with a growth of 45%. As Sunday being a holiday, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha collected a solid sum of INR 21.25 Crore.
This film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh. It is expected to cross INR 100 Crore line. Let’s see how much it will earn in week days in Box Office.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is about a young girl (Bhumi) who fell in love with Akshay and gets married to him. On her first day in her In-laws house she finds out that they don’t have a toilet. She leaves her house and husband. From then Akshay goes on a mission against age old traditions to win back her love by building Toilet in his village.
This movie is a satirical work based on Indian Prime Minister’s recent mission of Swachh Bharat.
