To Get U/A Certificate, “Padmavati” Have To Change the Title to “Padmavat”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period movie “Padmavati” at the center of controversy, to get U/A certificate movie have to change the title to “Padmavat”. Censor Board suggested Sanjay Leela Bhansali to cut 26 scenes from the film and also change the title from “Padmavati” to “Padmavat”.
They promised Sanjay Leela Bhansali once the modification being done, then they will issue U/A certificate for the film. The film was reviewed by several panelist or historians, they stated, “the film is partially based on historical facts”. Therefore Sanjay Leela Bhansali need to modify a bit of it.
Panelist which reviewed “Padmavati” include, Professor KK Singh of Jaipur University, Dr Chandramani Singh and Arvind Singh from Udaipur. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film budget is Rs. 190 crores. The film revolves around the story of Rajput Rani “Padmini”.
According to Rajput’s, Rani “Padmini” was Rajput warrior from chittor in Rajasthan who set herself on fire to save her dignity after Khilji conquered her husband in battle. The real story behind the protests by Rajput Karni Sena originated from clash of inflated egos.
To conclude “Padmavati” controversy, Censor Board suggested some measures to finally release the movie “Padmavati”. So, if Sanjay Leela Bhansali agreed upon all the modification, then he gets green light from Censor Board.
