Previously we reported that there is news in the industry that TMKOC (Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma) is gonna be banned as Sikh community has filed case against the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma for hurting their religious sentiments.

Sources states that in the 2287th episode of the show where Roshan Singh Sodhi essayed the role of 10th Guru of Sikh’s Guru Gobind Singh Ji, didn’t go well with Sikh community resulting into makers of TMKOC received a warning from SGPC for showing inaccurate things about the religion.

Actress Munmun Singh who plays the role of Babita Iyer in the show said in the statement that it is clear case of misunderstanding. She was also quoted saying, “Gurucharan (who plays Sodhi) who is a staunch Sikh himself will never do and speak anything that goes against the sentiments of Sikhs all around the world”.

The chief of SGPC- Kirpal Singh Badungar said-
“No actor or any character can equate himself with the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh. Such an act is unpardonable.”
Kripal Singh also demanded for complete ban on TMKOC. The official team of TMKOC gave clarity to this matter and also to Kripal singh by tweeting on the twitter stating that In Episode 2287 of TMKOC, Sodhi was dressed up as Guru Gobind Singh Ji ka Khalsa. Actor Gurcharan Singh Sodhi also clarified the matter by releasing a statemnt in which he said, “To begin with, no one in the Sikh community can ever enact Sikh Guru Gobind Singh, he is the ultimate guru of all of us. In the show, I depicted the role of Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa and my dialogues mention the same. The communication error happened when at the beginning of the show, at the credit title, mistakenly it showed Gurucharan Singh as Sikh Guru Gobind Singh and due to space issue the Khalsa word shifted down. Had this not happened all would have been fine.
He further added- “I am hopeful that all will be well as we did not do anything wrong. I, being a Sikh, know that we are a peace-loving community and can sort out issues via dialogue.”
