Throwback Thursday: When Neha Dhupia recommended husband Angad Bedi for a Punjabi film

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi, who are now married and expecting their first child were very close friends before they started dating each other! Their love story truly is no less than a fairy tale and this Thursday, here’s a trip giving you a glimpse of one of the incidents of their love story! This story is of the times when Neha Dhupia had recommended a Punjabi film to Angad Bedi who happily took it up since he was crushing over her that time!

Talking about the incident over a radio station, Angad Bedi revealed, “She did a Punjabi film called Rangeelay up in Ambala. That is the time when she and I were signed for Ungli. Rensil (D’Silva) had made that film which had Emraan Hashmi. That time, we had become good friends. She said, ‘Listen, before that film starts, there is a Punjabi film, if you want, I can refer your name because I am going and Jimmy Sheirgill is there and why you should do it is because there is a guy who has a double role.’ So I was fascinated by the opportunity. It was a 20-day job.”

“At that time, I was major crushing on her. I told her, ‘Aur kuch nahi toh picture ke bahane tere saath time hi spend kar lunga.’ She would laugh at my jokes. She said, ‘You realise you can’t talk like this to me.’ I said, ‘You realise I am not going to change. I will talk like this to you.’ So we hung out there and we had a great time”, added Angad Bedi!

Angad Bedi however couldn’t get much fame from the movie, for Neha Dhupia, the movie worked well! Well, this is just one incident from Angad Bedi and  Neha Dhupia’s journey!
