Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor Starrer Stree emerged as one of the highest grossing films of 2018. The horror-comedy did wonders at the box office and turned out to be a huge milestone for one of the finest Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao.
Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Stree also featured Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, Flora Saini and Abhishek Banerjee. Each and every cast of the movie received lots of praise from the audience.
The climax of Stree left the audience baffled indicating that the movie will get a sequel. People were all excited to see Rajkummar Rao once again doing horror comedy in the sequel. Now, it has been confirmed that Stree Sequel is in works with the title Stree 2. However, there is bad news for all Rajkummar Rao fans, as the actor might not return for the sequel.
It is being reported that actor Varun Dhawan is all set to replace Rajkummar Rao in the Stree Sequel.
It is being said that Varun Dhawan is interested in doing Stree 2, as he wants to explore all the genres and give his fans something new with his every film. However, it may also come as a setback for Rajkummar Rao fans, as they fully enjoyed his spectacular performance in the first one. The makers are also confused, as they are close to Rajkummar and Varun.
We’ll have to wait a while longer to get any confirmation. In the meantime, Varun Dhawan is busy in the promotion of his next film Kalank also featuring Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles, whereas Rajkummar Rao will next be seen in Mental Hai Kya alongside Kangana Ranaut.
