Madhuri Dixit and Aamir Khan are two of the most iconic actors in Bollywood, known for their distinct styles and stellar performances. The two starred together in the 1990 film *Dil*, which became a massive hit. Aamir, often referred to as a perfectionist, and Madhuri, celebrated for her elegance, seemed like an unlikely pair for a confrontation. However, during the filming of *Dil*, Madhuri was once so enraged by Aamir that she ended up chasing him with a hockey stick.
Directed by Indra Kumar, *Dil* marked the beginning of his successful career in Bollywood, with films like *Ishq*, *Dhamaal*, and *Thank God* to his credit. *Dil* was also a commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing film of the year and earning Madhuri her first Filmfare Best Actress award. The film’s popularity led to remakes in Telugu and Kannada.
In a memorable appearance on Farhan Akhtar’s talk show *Oye! It’s Friday*, Aamir Khan shared the amusing incident when he pranked Madhuri. He was pretending to read her palm, telling her exaggerated lines like, “You’re so gullible, people fool you easily,” and even jokingly spat on her palm. Madhuri, frustrated by the prank, chased Aamir with a hockey stick.
The actress later confirmed the story during a 2016 *Ask Me Anything* session on Twitter, where she recalled, “I chased Aamir Khan with a hockey stick on the sets of *Dil* because he played a prank on me. That’s the naughtiest thing I’ve ever done.”
Aside from *Dil*, the duo also worked together in *Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin*, which was released in the same year. On the professional front, Madhuri is currently receiving praise for her role in *Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3*, which released in theatres on November 1.
