The Martial Artist by Shaz Khan to be released in April 2025.

Interestingly, The Martial Artist is the directorial debut of Shaz Khan, who is excited to serve audiences a visually beautiful and emotionally soul-stirring plot exploring the journey of an MMA fighter’s self-discovery. He thinks Hollywood hasn’t been able to explore it much in films. Hence, he felt the need to come up with a storyline that could instantaneously touch the right chords of audiences, redefining the genre like never before.

Shaz Khan reveals that The Martial Artist, which will be released on April 4, 2025, features an impeccable star cast, including Faran Tahir (who is also producing), Sanam Saeed, Babar Peerzada, Thesa Loving, and Gregory Sporledor. To offer authenticity to the script, characters and plot, Shaz Khan went under the grind to train himself hard in boxing, jiu-jitsu, wrestling and Muay Thai with no stunt double or shortcuts and only dedication, determination and discipline.

The director says the film has spiritual and emotional transformations beyond physical montages. Initially, what was decided to be made as a short film centred around a boxer has now evolved into a full-length feature film with the help of a writer friend.
