The man in viral post with DeepVeer and Sandip Ssingh is not Dawood Ibrahim!

Sandip Ssingh’s name came into media scrutiny after a video of his surfaced showing the filmmaker giving thumbs up to Mumbai Police outside the Cooper hospital, where Sushant Singh Rajput’s mortal remains were kept. Later, Sandip’s name also made its entry into ‘shadiest’ person’s list in late actor’s death case as his call records reportedly revealed he was in touch with SSR’s ambulance driver and was also allegedly called the ‘mastermind’ of Sushant’s case.

Now when news of Sandip’s fleeing to London were making rounds, an old picture of him sitting with Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and a few others from the team of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ has gone viral on Twitter. The photograph which is alleged to be taken in 2013, shows Sandip enjoying Roza iftaar with Bollywood celebrities among whom one person as per netizens has the uncanny resemblance to the most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

As soon as the seven-year-old picture went viral, the twitterati were quick to draw similarity of the man sitting on Sandip’s right with the fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim. But as it is also mentioned in tags and the man in question is actually Wasiq Khan, the production designer of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’.

This throwback picture was shared by Sandip on his Instagram page during the month of Ramadan in May this year, along with a caption and tags mentioning the names of everyone featured in it. “#Iftar is the time of huge blessings, try to gather as many as you can… Breaking bread together since 2013. #SanjayLeelaBhansali @ranveersingh @deepikapadukone @r_varman_ @siddharthgarima #WasiqKhan,” read the caption.

The tags of the viral picture mentions Sandip, Ranveer, Deepika, Sanjay, lyricist duo Siddharth and Garima (who are not facing the camera), cinematographer Ravi Varman and Wasiq.

Sandip Ssingh, who is the former CEO of Bhansali Productions, was also among one of the producers of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’. The 38-year-old has also produced films such as ‘Sarbjit’ 2016 and the ‘PM Narendra Modi’ biopic 2019, starring Vivek Oberoi.

It is to be mentioned that, Sandip was one of the very few people to reach Sushant Singh Rajput’s apartment on June 14 and in his IG posts, he had called the late actor as his ‘brother’, however, SSR’s family denied to even recognize him. In an interview the family lawyer of Sushant’s family, Vikas Singh said that no one in the family knows Sandip. “Meetu (Sushant’s sister) was devastated after seeing Sushant’s body so she went and she was lying down in the room so he just saw an opportunity and he took charge. Nobody in the family knows him, how did he come there? Suddenly how did he start taking charge. Since nobody from the family was there, there was an opening for him” the lawyer said.

Meanwhile, several media reports have revealed Sandip Singh’s suspicious multiple visits to Dubai and his reappearance after 10 months as he never contacted the late actor in last 10 months. Netizen’s are also speculating that Sandip has either already flown off to Dubai or is planning to flee to London. One of the internet users also asked why the suspect hasn’t been interrogated by the CBI yet.
