Is Hina Khan really the new Komolika of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2? Ekta Kapoor breaks her silence…

Since the inception, Ekta Kapoor has made sure to keep the excitement high for Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 among the audience by keeping the star cast of the show under wrap. Even in the first promo of the show, Ekta only revealed the female lead- Erica Fernandes who’ll be playing Prerna on the show. Later it was leaked that Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan fame Parth Samthaan has been roped in to play Anurag on the show which was originally played by Cezanne Khan. Now, speculations are rife that Ekta has signed Hina Khan to play the iconic Komolika in the show.

At the trailer launch of Alt Balaji’s new show Home, Ekta was asked on who will be playing Komolika’s role in the reboot. To this, Ekta Kapoor just gave a hint to media by saying,“She is a big TV actress who has done positive roles, now you guess!”.

Ekta Kapoor recently shared a picture on her Instagram handle and captioned the picture as “Taking tips from the gang on creating the new age mean girl! #komolika #fromtheformertothelatter”

The picture gave rise to the buzz that not ‘Hina Khan but Krystle Dsouza’ will play Komolika in the show. Once while describing the actress who’ll play Komolika, Ekta said: “So the actor will have to look very innocent… child-like face and unbelievably sharp. Hoping to give this antagonist a complete reboot.”

Earlier in one of the interaction with media, Hina had revealed, “I won’t say it’s not happening, but I suggest let’s wait for the official announcement. Yes, I did go to meet Ekta and somehow people started to speculate, and it came to a point where they even confirmed that I’ve been roped in for the show, whereas I’m yet to sign anything. I mean you don’t know what talks we exchanged in a room and how it works, so let the makers make the final announcement.”
