JP Dutta’s upcoming film titled Paltan is in the news for a very long time. The movie features Arjun Rampal, Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary, Sonu Sood, Siddhanth Kapoor and Luv Sinha in the lead roles.
As of now, no details were available about the leading lady of the film. Now, the buzz is that Esha Gupta and Sonal Chauhan have joined the cast of Paltan. Esha and Sonal will play the love interests of Arjun and Sonu respectively.
A source was quoted saying to the tabloid, âSonal is a Rajput in real life and will incidentally play a Rajput girl in the film too. The makers were certain that with her elegance, she would fit the bill.â
The source further added, âWhile Sonal has already joined the team and is currently filming her part, Esha will leave for Punjab today.â
In the meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan and Suniel Shetty were supposed to be part of JP Duttaâs Paltan, but they pulled out of the movie.
During that time, while talking about the Abhishek Bachchanâs exit, producer Nidhi Dutta said, âAbhishek Bachchan is no longer part of Paltan for personal reasons best known to him. It has come as a shock to us as this happened less than 24 hours before our unit left to shoot in Ladakh. But we also believe that especially in the movies we make it’s the soldiers sitting up there that choose who will play them and recreate their lives on screen. Nevertheless, we wish him luck with his future endeavoursâ
