‘AndhaDhun’ action director Parvez Khan passes away at 55

Bollywood action director, Parvez Khan, known for his work in movies like ‘AndhaDhun’ and ‘Badlapur’, passed away on Monday morning, suffering a cardiac arrest. The 55-year-old was rushed to the hospital where he took his last breath.

His close friend and long-time associate, Nishant Khan, told about his health confirming that hat he did not have any prior condition and felt chest pain on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Hansal Mehta mourned the loss of his death and wrote, “Just heard that action director Parvez Khan is no more. We had worked together in Shahid where he executed the riots sequence in a single take. Very skilful, energetic, and a good man. RIP Parvez. Your voice still rings in my ears!”

Khan started his career in Bollywood in 1986 and had assested action director Akbar Bakshi in films like Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khiladi’, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Baazigar’ and Bobby Deol-starrer ‘Soldier’.

The veteran action director had also worked on the upcoming Netflix film ‘Class Of ’83’ which stars actor Bobby Deol, which is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. The production house also mourn the loss of the action director on it’s official Twitter account, “The loss of Parvez Khan, action-director for Class Of ’83, leaves a huge void in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.”

Khan’s upcoming project is Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ starring Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor in main leads.
