Taapsee Pannu has come a long way in the film industry. The actress won millions of hearts with her powerful performance in Pink and Naam Shabana. According to the recent reports, she will be playing the role of a self-defense instructor in her next project. It would be a short film directed and produced by Kapil Verma.
The upcoming short film will deal with the story of the relationship of two siblings. Actor Vicky Arora is going to play the brother of Taapsee in the movie.
Kapil Verma had a wonderful time while shooting the film with Taapsee. The actress went through an intense training session for getting her physical nuances right for the character.
Talking about his experience of working with Taapsee, he said, “I narrated the script to her in Mauritius on the sets of Judwaa 2 and at the end of the narration, she asked me ‘When would you like to shoot it?’ She trained very hard for the film. We had a great time shooting, it was fun and quite intense too.”
When asked why he zeroed in Taapsee Pannu for the self-instructor role, the director said, “I had written this script around two years ago. I had watched Taapsee’s film ‘Pink‘ and worked with her in ‘Naam Shabana‘. I knew then that she would be perfect for the part.”
The title of the short film has not been confirmed yet. Entire cast and crew have finished the shooting of the film in Mumbai. According to the reports, she will also be seen in a film with popular Punjabi actor Diljit. The movie will be a romantic drama film between the character of Taapsee Pannu and Diljit Dosanjh. Both of the actors will play hockey players in the movie, which is going to be directed by Shaad Ali.
Taapsee and Diljit are going to be trained by a professional for sharpening their hockey skills. The shooting of the film is expected to start in Punjab from October.
Taapsee is all set for her next release Judwaa 2. The movie is directed by popular director David Dhawan and features Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee in the lead roles. It is scheduled to release on 29th September 2017. Varun will be playing a double role for the first time in his career. The movie has already created lots of buzz among the movie goers as well as the Bollywood industry.
