Sweta Basu grabbed a role in Karan Johar’s next
Actress Sweta Basu, who was in the news for the wrong reasons in the past, finally got a big role in Karan Johar’s next. According to the latest buzz, she was offered a role for his upcoming project, whose name is not yet disclosed.
Sweta Basu started her career as a child actor in Balaji Telefilms famous serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. Since then she never turned back, as she was offered some good roles in the Bollywood flicks. She was a part of an award-winning Children Film Makdi, which also starred Shabana Azmi in a negative role. Even she got a major role in the award-winning film Iqbal, where she is played the sister of actor Shreyas Talpade. Soon, she started getting some good bunch of leading roles in South Cinema.
All was going well in her career, but then came a shocking news in 2014, which was hard to be believed. She was allegedly nabbed by Hyderabad police for being involved in the prostitution racket. This was a serious setback in her career which garnered a lot of negative publicity, which really spoiled her career. This news came as a shock for Bollywood Celebrities too who didn’t believe what happened. Even, the actress never admitted anything related to the prostitution racket. The 25-year-old actress only uttered that, she is falsely being implicated in the matter.
Since 2015, she started getting fewer roles in television, which led her career back on the track. Last year, she also featured in AIB’s Youtube Channel Video and even featured in a Kannada film song. Recently, she got a part to play in a horror show, Darr Sabko Lagta Hai. But now finally, she must be very happy to be a part of Karan Johar’s next.
