In this time of technological plunge where web series are taking over television or big screen cinema, many big stars are giving hits on OTT platforms. Making her entry on an online platform, Swara Bhaskar has recently been seen in her web series ‘Rasbhari’, which was recently released on Amazon Prime Video but the news of it being removed from the digital platform was also started to trend online, shortly after its release.
Famous for speaking her mind and being vocal about everything, Swara this time too took to her social media account to clear the air around the rumours of her ‘Rasbhari’ being pulled down from the digital platform.
The rumours started to take rounds when, one of the Twitter accounts alleged that the web series was removed from the OTT platform, and the news of it being pulled down was said to be tweeted by Amazon Prime itself. It further stated that the reason behind starting this fake news was to earn ‘Rasbhari’good ratings on IMDB site as it was low on ratings on this Internet Movie Database site.
The truth, however, is different from what was claimed. As per Swara’s tweet, there is no truth to it as it came from a parody account.
The alleged fake tweet read, “#PadtaalVideo @ReallySwara की अमेज़न प्राइम वीडियो पर एक वेबसीरीज़ आई है- रसभरी. दावा है कि @PrimeVideoIN ने इसे अपने प्लेटफॉर्म से हटाने के बारे में ट्वीट किया है. कारण बताया IMDb पर ख़राब रेटिंग. पड़ताल: दावा फर्ज़ी है. ट्वीट एक पैरोडी अकाउंट ने किया है.”
To which the actress replied and agreed too, mentioning how often such misleading news is released on fake accounts and people fall into trap. She concluded her tweet with #RasbhariOnPrime, indicating that the web series is still streaming on the digital platform.
