The life of a woman is very tough all over the world. Everything they do is met with some resistance. It is hard for them to live their life on their own terms. There are several women in the world, who have been molested or abused in their life. They can’t even report about the harassments because society is very quick to blame the girl rather than the perpetrator.
It takes a lot of courage for a girl to speak about the abuse because she knows that the world will ask millions of questions and even questions her dignity and integrity.
Recently, Dangal actress Zaira Wasim has spoken about the molestation. The 17-year-old actress took to Instagram to share her story when she was molested by a man sitting behind her back on a Delhi-Mumbai flight.
Millions of people came in support of Zaira Wasim. Politicians, Women’s rights activist and many Bollywood celebs come out in the support of National Awards winning actress. However, a journalist took the situation to a whole new level.
A journalist named Jagriti Shukla took to her Twitter handle to shame Zaira Wasim and called it a ‘cheap publicity stunt’. She tweeted, “Nowhere has #ZairaWasim stated that she did complain to Cabin Crew about the unruly passenger & that they ignored her. Her manager is peddling lies. Instead of Complaining, Confronting & Changing her seat, she’s going Live on @instagram.Priorities?”

Airline did admit in its statement that they heard her screaming as the aircraft was descending. So, she complained. That a police case wasn't filed immediately after landing and accused collected his luggage and went home, clearly points that no action was taken by the airline.

Many celebs have slammed the journalist for her insensitive comment and have supported the young actress.
Popular actress Swara Bhaskar has also slammed the journalist in a series of Tweets, who tried to victim shame Secret Superstar actress Zaira Wasim. She tweeted, “We can always rely on Sanghi media to find a way to support and justify wrong in even seemingly the most simple of ethical cases. Shame on you”

It is really sad that anyone is victim shaming a 17-year-old girl. The issue is still under investigation, so I don’t understand any reasons to make such insensitive comment.
