Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Subramanian Swamy Urges PM Modi For A CBI Enquiry

It’s been over a month when Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment. Although his post-mortem reports suggested that he died due asphyxia, not everyone agrees with this.

Friends of the late actor and few other celebs disagree and have been demanding a CBI probe into the matter.

Actors like Shekhar Sumar have started a forum titled ” justice for sushant singh rajput” and has gathered alot of support ever since. Soon Shekhar Sumar had requested to take a backseat as he had received no support from the late actor’s family what-so-ever.

Now, BJP MP Subramaniam Swamy has appointed advocate Ishkaran Singh Bhandari to investigate further into Sushant’s case and see whether it’s fit for a CBI probe or no. Swamy has also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting an extensive CBI enquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case.

In alive conversation with Ishkaran, Swamy mentioned,

I’ve raised this subject because a young guy with a promising career and growing popularity suddenly dies by suicide. Depression could be common in the world of cinema, but why was he depressed? His popularity was growing and there seems no plausible reason for him to have any negative feelings…

He further added,

Jis tezi se isko band kar rahe the, isse mujhe pehle hi shaq aaya. Kya itni jaldi hui ki forensic jaanch proper nahi hui? Several Bollywood personalities have given statements and even the Mumbai Police has called it a case of suicide. Whether it is a case of abetment, which is a punishable offence, wasn’t investigated either.

When asked by Ishkaran what Swamy wrote in the letter, he said,

“I urge you… that you may consider advising the chief minister of Maharashtra directly or through the Governor to agree to a CBI inquiry. The Mumbai Police already has its hands full with coronavirus pandemic issues and maintaining law and order under the circumstances. Hence, this laborious duty of conducting this inquiry with public credibility is being strained. A CBI inquiry would be the only way to retain public confidence.”

Swamy also maintained that if there is no response from the Prime Minister within one-two weeks, he might move to the Supreme Court for the same. He said,

Tab bhi koi jawaab nahi aaya, parantu aakrosh kuchh public mein hai isiliye Supreme Court ko aadesh dena chahiye kyunki unko adhikaar hai samvidhaan mein, aur isliye wohi hai sabse achha raasta,
