Mumbai Police, on Thursday, grilled late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for 11 long hours at the Bandra Police Station. The interrogation was in connection with the suicide case of Sushant.
She chose not to speak to the media after coming out from the police station as she left with folded hands. She was accompanied by her father to the police station but he was not present with her during the police interrogation, as per reports.
Further details about the interrogation are yet to be revealed but few reports have quoted a source as saying that Rhea was asked about her personal relationship with Sushant, her reasons for leaving his house just a few days before his death, and his health condition.
Reportedly, police also scanned her phone gallery and even text messages to check her conversation history with Sushant in the past few days.
Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14 at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. Bollywood is in shock and under the scanner for promoting nepotism. It is alleged that he was depressed as he was boycotted by industry biggies and he lost several projects because he was an outsider in the industry.
Police is checking if there was a professional rivalry behind Sushant’s suicide. Police has also recorded the statements of Sushant’s family members and his manager.
