Sushant case investigation: A contract copy of ‘Drive’ was submitted to Mumbai Police
The Mumbai Police is neck-deep in the ongoing investigation to solve the high profile case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden death. To solve this murder mystery many Bollywood biggies including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, ‘Dil Bechara’ co-star Sanjana Sanghi, film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra, among others have been called to record their statements.
In connection with the late actor’s death, the CEO of filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Apoorva Mehta, also reached Amboli police station to record his statement on July 28.
To investigate the case further, the Mumbai Police had also asked Dharma productions to submit a copy of Singh Rajput’s contract with the company for the film ‘Drive’, the copy of the same was handed over to the Police by the Apoorva Mehta.
The film ‘Drive’ was Sushant Singh Rajput’s only collaboration with Karan Johar’s production banner, which was finally released in November 2019 after several delays.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has also recorded his statement in relation to Sushant’s alleged suicide case.
On June 14, the 34-years-old actor, Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling of Bandra resident. The actor was said to be suffering from depression due to the prevalent culture of favouritism and Nepotism in the industry. The actor’s death had caused a huge uproar on social media, calling out nepotism in Bollywood.
