Veteran actress Shabana Azmi also shared a throwback picture of her and actress Smita Patil of the year 1976, to show us how Cannes used to be more focused on the films and not the clothes. She said, “In Cannes 1976 for Nishant in official section. The simplicity of it all. Film was important not the clothes!”
Sonam disagreed to the comment made by Shabana on Twitter and said, “No, I don’t think so. It is a film festival and everybody walks for their films, but I am here representing L’Oreal Paris which happens to be a make-up brand. If I was walking here for a film, I would be dressing up very differently, but since I am here walking for a make-up and glam brand, it makes sense to wear make-up and have fun, look beautiful.”
