Director Sunhil Sippy said, “Sonakshi Sinha has tremendous range. She is funny and quirky, but she is also very intense and serious. In Noor, I got the opportunity to explore every part of her as an actor.”
In the movie, she essays the role of Noor, who played a journalist. The movie is based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me! The film received the average response from the critics and called the movie as complex phenomena. The film received just 10 percent audience occupancy in the first-day first show and hardly able to lure the audience.
Helmed by Sunhil Sippy, the film also stars Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Shibani Dandekar in key roles. The film also faced a clash with Raveena Tandon’s Maatr, which was a rape victim story. Though it’s not a big clash for Noor but what really hurting Sonakshi Sinha’s film is Hollywood film Furious 8. Vin Diesel starrer film doing great in India and has collected over 60 crores in the first week.
Overall, we could hope that the movie performs well in the second and third day.
