Manushi Chhillar is the winner of Miss World 2017. The 201-year-old model from Haryana has been receiving good wishes from several well-wishers including celebrities. Millions of people in the country are proud of her for winning the prestigious crown of Miss World after a long wait of 17 years. Many people including our Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished her on social media. But, Sofia Hayat has a totally different take on this.
Amidst such jubilant moods, there are always people, who always go on different paths than rest of us. You may remember Shashi Tharoor’s Tweet, which created huge uproars on social media. But, we are not talking about that today. Now, there is a section of people, who are questing these beauty pageants all together and asking questions like “Why are there still BEAUTY pageants?”

This sentiment has got some support from some likeminded people, as they have voiced their opinion in the same tone. The latest one to join the chorus is controversy queen Sofia Hayat.
Sofia Hayat has openly lashed out at the beauty pageant in a series of Instagram posts. Sofia is known for giving her opinion without thinking of the consequences.
Talking about the beauty pageant, Sofia Hayat has voiced her opinion and asked for a breathing space. She has labeled Miss word as outdated.

She posted a picture of Manushi Chhillar with a long and elaborate caption that reads:
“Are they still running this contest..I though it died with the dinosaurs .. who judges beauty these days when beauty does not have a single face or form..you gotta laugh at such prehistoric ideals..beauty is not there to be judged..why isn’t a woman in a hijab there..or a somalian with a lip plate there..or a painted American Indian..or a transgender..are they not beautiful?..why is there not a size 16 woman with curves or a bald woman? “Which one of these women is beautiful? If you chose any one..think about where your ideals of beauty came from. They are all beautiful. Not one is more or less beautiful than the other. If you had 4 children, which one is more beautiful? Yes it is sick to even think a mother should judge the beauty of her children..yet the media sets up competitions like this..which filter down to the children. Boycott anything that puts an “ideal” on you and the children of this Earth. You are not here to be judged. You are more than physical beings..and yet all of your physical is incredible. They try to put you in boxes..dictating that you must fit in one..but I say..create your own life..create your own ideals..beauty is not about what others say..it is what you want it to be.
