Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra says he is doing only one film as of now and it is not a Salman Khan production, as is being reported. There were reports that Karan Johar has put in a word for the Student of the Year star to Salman Khan, who is on a hunt for a hero, for his next venture.
When asked about the same, Sidharth told reporters,
“No. The only film I am doing now is ‘Ittefaq’, which I start tomorrow. Nothing else is official.”
The 32-year-old actor was speaking at Glamdog event, organised by Smita Thackeray, Mukti Foundation and Sankalp Sharma.
At the event, he spoke about having a dog and said,
“My parents gifted me a dog. I was around 10 years old and I thought it was a male dog. It was a puppy of barely two-three weeks. I took it to the vet after a month. I had to fill a form so I wrote it’s a male dog. But then they told me it’s a female. That’s how I got my first dog, which was actually a female. I was treating him like a dog, it was actually a bitch.”
When asked about how he spent Valentine’s day, the actor said,
“Valentine’s Day was very good. It was like any other day.”
The actor was also quizzed about pictures with Alia Bhatt which surfaced on Valentine’s day to which he said,
“Where? Whose house?”
In a recent interview, Sidharth Malhotra opened up about being in love and also about getting married in the future, shortly after Alia Bhatt confessed about being in love AS WELL! this is what Sidharth was quoted as saying,
“No clue yaar! I will speak to my pandits. I feel I will be settled hopefully before my 30s end. Anytime in the next seven years.”
So when asked if it will be an arranged marriage? He exclaimed,
“No! Even my family is not like that. My brother dated my bhabhi since he was 18 and he got married at 24-25. My parents were very supportive. We don’t come from a background where our parents choose who we would spend our lives with. They rather push us to be out there, have that relationship, make our own choices and I live up to it and back it by getting married to that girl. So, I don’t understand the arranged marriage set-up and the point of view at all. Mum Dad ne milaya kisi se so just get married- no that doesn’t work for me!”
Sidharth who was last seen in ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ in a lead role opposite Katrina Kaif made his debut alongside Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year’. He will be seen next in ‘Ittefaq’ opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
