We all are aware of the act that Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra will be seen in Ekta Kapoor’s next. This news was confirmed by Sidharth himself sometimes back. He said, “It will go on floors in Lucknow and is a love story based on the concept of groom kidnapping.”
Earlier the movie was titled as ‘Shotgun Shaadi’. But now a source revealed that the movie has been titled as ‘Jabariya Jodi’. The source said, “As it’s based on pakadwa vivaah, the makers felt that this was an apt name. In Bhojpuri, jabariya means zabardasti, so the title refers to a couple who is forced to get married. The two actors have also shot for the posters before leaving for Lucknow, so they should be out soon.”
In fact, Sidharth gave the idea of changing the title. The source further said, “He came across this word during the readings and told the team about it. They liked it instantly.”
The actors are currently working on their voice and diction as they have to pull off their characters in Bihari accent. This is the second movie of Sidharth and Parineeti after ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’.
Parineeti has wrapped up shooting for ‘Namaste England’ and Sidharth will also be seen in a biopic on Kargil hero, Captain Vikram Batra.
