Sidharth and Sara Ali Khan Team Up in Rural Folklore Drama?

Sidharth Malhotra and Sara Ali Khan are set to share the screen for the first time in an upcoming film directed by Panchayat creator Deepak Mishra. According to reports, Ekta Kapoor and TVF are producing this unique project, planned to start filming in 2025.

Set against a rural folklore backdrop, the story blends drama, with deep-rooted Hindu mythology elements, offering a fresh genre for both actors. The film aims to create an immersive cinematic experience, similar to the cultural depth seen in *Kantara*.

A source close to the project shared that Sidharth is in advanced talks and will hear the final narration in November. If all goes well, production is expected to kick off in the second half of 2025. The source added, “Sidharth will sign the deal once he’s heard the final script.”

Meanwhile, Sara has a lineup of films on the way. She’ll appear next in *Metro… In Dino*, an ensemble drama by Anurag Basu, featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sensharma, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The movie is set to release on November 29, 2024.

Sidharth, too, is busy with upcoming projects. He will co-star with Saif Ali Khan in *Race 4*, which is scheduled to start shooting in January 2025. The script for *Race 4* is nearly complete, according to writer Shiraz Ahmed, and the final cast announcements will follow soon.
