Shruti Haasan Replaced By Tamanna
Nagarjuna-Karthi multi-starrer seems to be having trouble taking off. First, it was said that NTR, Nagarjuna would do the film, but NTR opted out. Then the makers roped in Karthi who has a decent fan base in Telugu speaking states.
Now comes the big surprise. Shruti Haasan was supposed to play the leading lady opposite Karthi while the search was on for a girl to be cast opposite Nagarjuna. Now, the news is that Tamanna has been signed in Shruti’s place for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual which is being directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
As far as the story from Shruti goes, she is said to have told the producers that she cannot do the film owning to date problems.

Given that the film is being made by Potluri Vara Prasad who is a leading and influential producer and financier in Tollywood today, he took it personally and has threatened to file a case against Shruti Haasan. But Shruti is one smart girl who replied saying she cannot be threatened and has remained firm on her stand.
Given that she is a busy and sought-after actress in three languages, she might be speaking the truth. But the producers filed a legal case against her. However, knowing Shruti, she would rather leave Telugu industry than go back on her stand.
Well, we feel that all parties involved must settle their issue amicably as losing out on Shruti will mean losing out on Tollywood’s only hot heroine.
Meanwhile, Tamanna who is not having very many films immediately lapped up the project. Incidentally, Karthi and Tamanna had worked in Paiyaa directed by N Linguswamy earlier and the film was a hit.
