Magic Moments’ Jhanak Extended to 45 Minutes on Star Plus as Rajvir Singh Replaces Arijit Taneja as Rishi
In a landmark move for Indian television, Magic Moments’ hanak on Star Plus has been extended to a 45-minute runtime per episode, reflecting the extraordinary audience love and sustained audience adulation the show has garnered. The rare extension is a testament to the show’s deep connect with viewers, making it one of the most watched and discussed sagas on Indian television today.
Alongside this milestone, a major casting change was announced. Actor Rajvir Singh will step into the pivotal role of Rishi, replacing Arijit Taneja, who has exited the show due to mutual understanding as his personal commitments and time constraints clashed with the increased demands of the extended episodes.
Producer Saibal Banerjee said, “Television is like life itself—unpredictable, emotional, and ever-evolving. While we are grateful to Arijit for embodying Rishi with sincerity during his time with us, we are equally excited to welcome Rajvir Singh, whose intensity and freshness will take the narrative forward. The show must reflect the spirit of continuity, and we believe Rajvir will connect beautifully with audiences.”
Rajvir Singh added, “Rishi has become a household name, and I feel humbled to take this responsibility. I know comparisons will be inevitable, but my focus is to bring honesty to the performance and make the character my own. I thank the makers and the viewers for trusting me with this journey.”
With the new 45-minute format and Rajvir Singh taking over as Rishi, Jhanak is set to enter a grander, more immersive chapter — one that promises to heighten its drama, romance, and emotional resonance.
