Saina, who is currently in China for the Badminton Asia Championships, also added, “It’s great if Shraddha is playing me, because she is a very talented actress and very hardworking! I am sure she will do justice to the role. The best part is, she is a good friend as well. So it will be easier to teach her some badminton (laughs). A lot of people tell me that we look similar and I think that’s a huge compliment, cos Shraddha is very beautiful.”
Talking about working on this big project, elated Shraddha Kapoor said, ” Most girls would have played badminton at some point in their lives in school. I feel so lucky to be playing Saina, who is not just among the world’s top badminton players, but also a youth icon. I can’t wait to start prepping for my role.”
Interestingly, Shraddha Kapoor and Saina Nehwal shares a good bonding and it would be an easy task for her to help out the former. Directed by Amol Gupte who has already directed movies like Hawa Hawai and Stanley Ka Dabba. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar and it is slated to hit the theaters in early 2018.
Overall, Shraddha Kapoor is all set to strike gold with three back to back upcoming movies.
