Although Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ hit the theatres facing a clash with Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, yet the film has managed to enter the 100 crore club. The action thriller entertainer has finally minted Rs 100.05 crore after its 31 days domestic box office business. The flick released last month on 28th, completing 31 days today, November 29.
The first day collection of the flick was Rs 10.24 crore, almost 10% of the total amount the film has grossed by now. Touted to be made with a budget of around Rs 120-140 crore, the film wasn’t expected to touch the 100 crore mark because of its day to day declining business.
It is said that the long duration of ‘Shivaay’ has been instrumental in making the film boresome. Anyways, it is good that the film has finally generated a fair amount after 31 days of domestic trade at the box office. ‘Shivaay’ was directed and produced by Ajay Devgn under his banner Ajay Devgn Films and starred Ajay Devgn, Sayyeshaa Saigal, and Erika Kaar in lead roles.
