Shekhar Kapur Gives Befitting Reply To R.Balki’s Statement About Nepotism
R. Balki has been making rounds on the internet due to his latest controversial statement about Nepotism. Ever since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, Nepotism has been the hot topic of discussion in B-town. Many actors have been vocal about it, and that didn’t leave out R. Balki.
R. Balki shunned the whole topic and mentioned it to be foolish. He said to name a better than actor than Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in order to start an argument about nepotism. His statement didn’t go down well people and social media. To join them was Shekhar Kapur who went against this statement citing an example of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Kai Po Che.
In this tweet, Shekhar Kapur emphasised on how brilliant the 3-starrer movie was and how the actors’ performances were at par. He wrote,
“Have huge respect for you, Balki. But i just saw Kai Po Che again last night. Three new young actors at that time. And stunning believable performances by each,”
Shekhar wrote,
Pankaj Tripathi, Gajraj Rao, Amit Sadh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rasika Dugal, Swara Bhaskar, Shweta Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, Divya Dutta, Manav Kaul, Nawazuddin, Jeetu. My god, I could go on & on about the wonderful talents we have. Stop fussing over the same 3-4 names now! Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan, Richa Chaddha. Many others too if we look beyond A list film families, and take a few chances. I love Ranbir & Alia, but please, they aren’t the only good actors.”
Earlier, even Avinash Tiwary had given a befitting reply to R. Balki’s statement. He stated that better actors won’t be known and talent won’t be appreciated if they aren’t given an opportunity.
