Shami surprises Simon Doull by speaking in English who responds in Hindi ‘Your English Bahut Achha’.
Taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series, the Indian cricket team was eager to seal the deal as they took the field against New Zealand at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui in the 3rd One-Day International (ODI) on 28th January. Expected to make a strong comeback in a bid to stay alive in the series, the Kiwis, once again, stuttered as the Virat Kohli-led India romped their way to another clinical win. Team India seems to be on a winning streak, as they crush New Zealand in the ODI series. Yesterday, India won by 7 wickets and we couldn’t be prouder
Mohammed Shami led the team to victory as he finished the match with 3 wickets for 41 runs. He also won the Man Of The Match for his performance.
Simon Blair Doull, former fast pacer of New Zealand radio personality, commentator and former international cricketer, invited Shami for an interactive session and Virat Kohli was asked to be present as the translator.
However, turns out, Shami did not need Kohli’s help anyway. He surprised Doull by speaking in perfect English. You can see the video here:

He said, “It’s really difficult to bowl against the wind. One comes with the wind and the other is against the wind. It is difficult but not too hard but it’s part of the game. Bhuvi at the other end was also a great help. Sticking to areas where we want to bowl is the key”
Virat Kohli looked on with pride, as Doull, who was clearly bowled over said “Your English bahut achha” while the crowd behind him cheered on.
Keep surprising us, Team India.
