Shalini Pandey Opens Up About Challenges in Filming ‘Charan Seva’ Scene in Maharaj
Shalini Pandey, acclaimed for her nuanced portrayal of Kishori in Maharaj, recently reflected on the challenges she faced while shooting the intense “Charan Seva” scene with Jaideep Ahlawat’s Maharaj Jadunath Brijratan. Her performance has garnered praise for its authenticity and emotional depth, and this particular scene stands out for its complexity and emotional weight.
In a candid interview, Shalini shared her mindset during the filming process:
“Now that I think of it, nothing was going in my head. We had done a few scenes before that. I was trying to be true to my character. So, I don’t think I overthought it, to be honest.”
She revealed how the gravity of the scene struck her after the shoot:
“As soon as I did it, I realized it’s very awkward. As soon as I took a break and got out, I realized what the character went through. When I did it, it dawned on me like, ‘What had happened!’. And this was reality. This happened. It might be still happening somewhere. All of this just happened, and everything was really overwhelming.”
Her honesty underscores the emotional challenges actors often face when portraying characters caught in intense or unsettling situations. Despite the difficulty, Shalini’s performance brought out the vulnerability and strength of her character, resonating with audiences.
