Shahid Kapoor Was Rejected From A 100 Auditions Before His Big Break
Completing his 13 years in the film industry, Shahid Kapoor showcased his acting and dancing skills in a variety of films. He has created his own distinct mark in this time duration and is currently on sky high in his professional front that is never encountered before by the actor.
Just like his professional life, Shahid Kapoor is also experiencing one of the happiest periods in his personal life. The actor and his wife Mira are proud parents of baby girl; he expressed his joy on 26th August on his official Twitter account.
Shahid Kapoor has worked very hard to reach this phase of his life. Starting as cute face in Aryan’s popular song ‘Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra’ and background dancer in films like ‘Taal’ and ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’.
The actor got his first big break from Ishq Vishk during his days in Shamak Davar dance group. He tried his hands on varied roles and gave hits like ‘Kaminey’, ‘Haider’ etc. He has given some marvelous films in his career like his recent release, ‘Udta Punjab’.
In a recent interview to a daily, he opened up about his struggling days. He said that Everyone thinks that he is Pankaj Kapur’s son, so isko toh break mil gaya hoga (He must have got a break). But I have been rejected from 100 auditions. Sometimes, I didn’t have money to eat food or to even go to the auditions. I have lived that life, and I don’t like talking about it. But that is my reality.
He further added that My parents were actors, but they were not stars. So, they didn’t have any pull. Mujhe samajh mein nahi aata tha ki kisse milun, kya bolun ya kya karun (I couldn’t understand who to meet, what to say and what to do). Now when I look back, I feel like God has blessed me with this career, and I cannot let this opportunity go to waste. I don’t want to feel satisfied easily (laughs). It has been a 13-year-long wait to reach here. So, it will maybe take 13 years for me to feel relaxed.
