Shahid Kapoor Shares His Experience Of Working In Padmaavat, Says He Felt Like An Outsider!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film Padmaavat got to an amazing start at the box office. The movie is getting lots of love from the audience. Everyone from B-Town celebrities to cinema-goers is all praise for this spectacular visual treat. The movie featuring Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone has received critical acclaim and doing great at the box office.
However, Bhansali’s fondness for Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh is no hidden facts. Padmaavat marks Bhansali’s third collaboration with Ranveer and Deepika after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
This is the reason why the third actor Shahid Kapoor felt like an outsider on the sets of Padmaavat. While talking about the movie to DNA, the actor said, “I’m used to being the favourite of all my filmmakers. This was the first time that I was like an outsider. When you work with a team that has worked together, you are kind of an outsider and it takes time for you to break through that barrier.”
Shahid Kapoor, who is playing the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in the movie, said that he liked being pushed to the limit by the director. Eventually, he had an “amazing time”.
He added, “The best thing about Sanjay sir is that he is ruthless in his creative desire. He is extremely intuitive towards artistes and his craft. And he doesn’t care whether it is 4 am or midnight, or whether it is 82 days or 100 days or what the cost of one day’s shooting is or if someone is emotionally spent,”
