Shah Rukh Khan Detained At LA Airport!
In 2012, Khan was detained at New York Airport for over two hours by immigration officials after arriving from India — in a private plane with Nita Ambani — to address students at Yale University. While Nita, wife of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and the rest of their group were cleared immediately, Khan was stopped and was given immigration clearance only after about two hours.
The US customs and border protection authorities had expressed “profound” apologies for the Shah Rukh Khan’s detention then.
In 2009 also, Khan was also detained by US immigration officials at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey because his name came up on a computer alert list.
The King of Romance told in an interview in February this year that he holds no grudges against the US immigration department for doing their job. Instead, he would support any such measures in India if it meant strengthening the security of the country.
