Sara Ali Khan Went For A Career In Acting Despite Having A Degree From Columbia, Here Is Why?

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan is all set for her Bollywood debut with Kedarnath that is slated to release next week. She has already won millions of hearts with her beauty and strong presence in the songs and the trailer of the movie. If that was not enough, she also made her Koffee With Karan debut with her father Saif Ali Khan and nailed every bit of it.

Currently, Sara is busy in the promotion of her debut film with Sushant Singh Rajput. With the way she is handling promotion, it looks like she is already a pro. She seems to be loving all the attention she is getting. She herself revealed about the same in an interview with leading daily Indiatimes.com by saying,

“I am having a lot of fun. I have heard a lot of horrible things, actors talk about promotions, but honestly, I am loving it may be because it’s my first time. It’s so nice to see how people are talking to me with so much warmth and love”

Many people don’t know that Sara Ali Khan is a highly educated person, who has completed her education from Columbia University. On being asked about how she got into acting despite all the educations, she said,

“I wanted to become an actor since the age of 5. I was quite convinced about that. I was also very studious, I got my degree from Columbia University, studied law, political science and after doing all this I realised what rush acting gives me, all this doesn’t for sure.”

She further added,

“A 5-year-old girl wanted to become a heroine because she knew nothing. But a 20-year-old girl who studied in America and came back, and even then decided to become an actor with the same passion means something.”

After the release of Kedarnath, Sara will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, which is an out and out family entertainer also featuring Ranveer Singh. When she was asked about who’s her favorite director between Rohit Shetty and Abhishek Kapoor, she said,

“I am standing here because of Abhishek Kapoor and Rohit Shetty. I can’t say that I am only here because of Abhishek sir because that would negate what Rohit sir has done for me. But giving me a film like Kedarnath that itself makes Abhishek sir special”
