Sourav Ganguly Denies Conflict Of Interest, Says He IS Not Being Paid By Delhi Capitals For Advisory Role

Former Indian Captain Sourav Ganguly reacted on the conflict of interest issue, saying he is not being paid by Delhi Capitals.

Ganguly told that he is not getting paid as president of the Cricket Association of Bengal and also for being a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). It led to three specific complaints being filed against him by fans named Bhaswati Santua, Ranjit Seal and Abhijeet Mukherjee.

The reports says that Ethic officers along with other BCCI legal experts are exploring if Ganguly’s interest could be treated as a possible conflict even though money is not involved in it.

The ‘conflict of interest’ has become a major topic of discussion within the Indian cricket fraternity. The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators running BCCI has been quite strict on the matters related to conflicts of interest. That’s the reason why Ravi Shastri doesn’t commentate in IPL games whereas India ‘A’ and U-19 coach Rahul Dravid had resigned as Delhi Daredevils’ head coach in 2017.
