Rajkumar Hirani’s latest film Sanju released this Friday. Sanjay Dutt’s biopic features Ranbir Kapoor in the title role. The movie is all set to break numerous records at the box office. It is getting excellent reviews from the fans as well as critics, who can’t stop praising Ranbir Kapoor’s effortless performance.
Sanju is off to a flying start at the box office and has taken 45-50 percent opening, which also makes it third best opening of the year after Race 3 and Baaghi 2 as far as occupancy is concerned. The movie is doing phenomenal business in multiplexes, whereas single screens are bit lower.
The movie has a very good chance of emerging as the biggest opener of 2018 and may break Race 3 records at the box office in its first day. The advance booking for Sanju is excellent, which means it will have very strong shows in the evening. The movie will have to earn more than Rs. 27.50 Crore for beating Race 3 on Friday. It will have a tough task if it has to break the opening day record of Avengers (Rs. 31 Crore), but it is possible.
Coming back to the film, Sanju is a biopic based on the life of controversial Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt. It features Ranbir Kapoor in the title role with an ensemble cast of Paresh Rawal, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Vicky Kaushal, Karishma Tanna and Dia Mirza among others.
