Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’ has managed to win over the viewers and the critics. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, ‘Sanju’ is the first biopic and fifth movie by Rajkumar Hirani. Raju Hirani has crafted it so well that we can actually witness heart and humour in the movie. These two elements are present in all the movies of Rajkumar Hirani. It has a tremendous opening on day 1 i.e on 29th June 2018. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted on Sanju’s first-day collection. His tweet read as: “Wow!!!! Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju takes a GIGANTIC opening on a non-holiday Day 1, of Rs. 34.75cr which is the biggest opening of 2018 & the 2nd highest non-holiday opening of all times, after Bahubali2.”

Trade experts have earlier predicted that Sanju is expected to make between Rs 27-Rs 30 crore on its first day and it has come true. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala also tweeted saying that Sanju is heading for 2018’s biggest opening for a Bollywood movie on Day 1 in India.

Ranbir’s last hit was ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ in the year 2013 and it minted Rs 188 crores at the box office. After five years of giving flops, this is the highest opening movie of Ranbir and it can be proved as a blockbuster if the collections go well in the coming days. Over the weekend, there is a possibility of raking in Rs 100 crore.
Sanju’ has an ensemble cast that includes Paresh Rawal who is playing Sunil Dutt, Manisha Koirala as Nargis, Sonam Kapoor as one of his girlfriends, Dia Mirza plays his wife Maanyata, Anushka Sharma plays a biographer and Vicky Kaushal as Sanjay Dutt’s best friend.
