After All The Controversies And Troubles, The First Reviews Of Padmaavat Are Finally Out!
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat has been surrounded by controversies and problems for a very long time. The problem for the films started as soon as it went on the floor. The sets of the film were vandalized by few groups in Rajasthan. The film was scheduled to release on 1st December 2017, but Karni Sena created huge chaos in order to stop the film from releasing. In desperate attempt to release the movie, the makers decided to show the movie to a group of journalists even before sending the movie to CBFC. This move of the makers infuriated censor boards, which led to delay in the release.
After lots of problems and controversies, Padmaavat got certification from CBFC. The movie is now slated to release on 25th January this week. Few states had banned the movie, but Supreme Court lifted the bans on film. Once again, the makers held a special preview for some senior journalists in Delhi. This time they had all the permissions. If the first review of Padmaavat has anything to go by, viewers will have time of their life watching the film. We hope these reviews will put some sense to the Karni Sena and they would allow the movie to have a smooth release.
Another journalist Umair Sandhu from UAE also watched the movie. He said that SLB’s magnum opus Padmaavat is the most ambitious project of the director. He gave 4 stars to the film.

“He(Bhansali) has a splendid sense of narrating an epic tale, which is evident when you think of the gigantic scale of the film. The battle sequences are awe-inspiring and have been executed with magnificence… Ranveer Singh is stupendous and clearly in top form. He holds you attentive right from the first frame till the penultimate moments. The effortlessness with which he gets into the skin of the character is noteworthy. It must be said that this is his finest work to date. Deepika is enchanting as Padmavati and displays the strength as an actor in several pertinent episodes. She gave Career Best Performance ever. Shahid Kapoor Steals the Show all the way. He Nailed it !!! Loved his Romance with Deepika. Aditi Rao Hyderi will surprise you. Supporting Cast is Top Notch.
On the whole, Padmaavat is a cinematic gem that you just cannot miss. Tremendous performances, deft direction, power-packed screenwriting and dialogue, melodious soundtrack and of course, the lavish mounting — this film has it all. Strongly recommended!”
Coming back to the movie, Padmaavat is a period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The movie features Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
