Sanjay Dutt to be directed by Subhash Kapoor for comeback film Munnabhai 3?

27sd2Two years after Jolly LLB (2013), a courtroom drama, filmmaker Subhash Kapoor is back with Guddu Rangeela. While both of his films so far, Jolly LLB as well as Phas Gaye Re Obama, have been peppered with quite a few humorous moments, Guddu Rangeela has been showcased rightly as a fun entertainer with good dose of action and drama thrown in as well.
Though the film has a Khap Panchayat backdrop to it and the killings that follow, one pretty much expects the combo of Subhash Kapoor and Arshad Warsi to keep the entertainment quotient high with several fun moments.
Meanwhile, there is another film that Subhash Kapoor was slated to begin with Arshad Warsi. No, we are not talking about Jolly LLB 2, but Munnabhai 3, for which Kapoor had been brought on board to make for Vidhu Vinod Chopra. This was when Sanjay Dutt had not been jailed and plans were almost in place to go on floors pronto.
So what happens to that?
Kapoor shrugs away, “Actually, beyond the announcement, we could never take it forward as immediately after that, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) had to go to jail. He was going to be unavailable for a long period and there was uncertainty on when he would be back.”
Since Sanjay is expected to be back around year end, and Kapoor would have wrapped up the shooting of Jolly LLB 2 by then, is there a probability of Munnabhai 3 being the comeback affair of the actor?
“Well, I am not authorized to comment on that,” is all that Kapoor is willing to comment for now.
Yes, no, may be? Looks like it is going to some wait for sure before we get any definite answer on that.
