Salman Khan’s Sultan Loses its Ground After A Successful Run on Day 9

Yash Raj Films’s Sultan became the trending topic of the Bollywood and country when it released on a day before Eid. Giving a memorable present to his fans, Salman Khan made a lot for the effort done for the film.

On the day of its release, it proved to be a box office behemoth within the first three days of its release. Sultan starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead crossed the threshold of 100 crore with its third day collection. After a successful run the movie has collected a huge whopping amount of Rs. 229.09 crores in nine days that involves smashing of 35 records and getting a large thumbs-up from the critics as well.

As the most awaited film of the year, the results generated truly made this Eid the happiest one in the life of Salman Khan. From the beginning the movie has iron gripped the box office collections both in the domestic and international markets.

But now it seems that the movie is losing its charm and ground as the box office collection on the 9th day was reduced to single digit. After ruling the theaters for an entire week, Sultan was able to generate only Rs. 9.50 crore on the 9th day of its release. Despite the drop, substantial amount of people are there who are willing to see the movie.

It will be interesting to see that this week’s release Great Grand Masti and Ice Age: Collision Course will directly hit the numbers of Sultan’s box office or not.
