Salman Khan’s poaching case : Lawyer’s confession that is sure enough to shock you!

Salman Khan was accused of hunting a blackbuck and a chinkara in Jodhpur during the shooting of the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. But as a major relief for Salman Khan, the Rajasthan High Court on Monday acquitted the actor in the two poaching cases. In 2006, Salman had been convicted by the trial court and handed sentences of one and five years respectively for allegedly poaching the chinkara and the blackbuck in two separate instances. However, Justice Nirmaljeet Kaur acquitted the actor in both the cases in a 50-page order passed on Monday. However, recently ABP News organized a sting operation on Salman Khan's acquittal from the poaching cases. The lawyer of Harish Dulani, the only eye witness who saw the actor hunting the blackbuck and the chinkara in Rajasthan in 1998, said that Dulani had settled for Rs. 80 lakhs offer in order to change his statement and settle the matter. Two days after the Rajasthan High Court acquitted Bollywood actor Salman Khan, in two pending cases related to the poaching of a blackbuck and a chinkara, the sole witness of the incident, Harish Dulani, justified that his disappearance was owed to the threats he had received for his testimony. Dulani had confessed his statement to the bench and had been part of two or three hearings in a subordinate court in Rajasthan as well before his disappearance, claiming that he and his family were threatened. In the sting operation conducted by ABP News, Dulani's lawyer, Ashok Parihar, cited how he had entered into a deal with Salman Khan's lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat. According to ABP News, Dulani had bought two plots from the amount he had received. But there is no proof of any kind of transfer between these two parties that can justify the deal. The Chief Judicial Magistrate had ruled against Salman, despite Dulani's absence. The Rajasthan High Court had asked the prosecution to present Harish Dulani before giving out Salman's judgement. However, as the prosecution failed to present him before the Court, the Chief Judicial Magistrate acquitted the actor. When asked about the actor's acquittal to his lawyer, Hastimal Saraswat, he said, "It finally proves what we have been saying all along. There is no doubt that the police and the forest department had manipulated witnesses and even made up evidence. The HC rejected all arguments made by the presentation" . Further, after Harish Dulani's statement, Rajasthan Goverment, on Thursday, offered protection to him and decided to appeal against Salman Khan's acquittal in the Supreme Court.
