Salman Khan’s legal team QUASHES rumours of his ownership in KWAN ‘directly or indirectly’
As Deepika Padukone’s name has surfaced in on-going drug scandal after her a WhatsApp chat between her and an employee of KWAN talent management firm, Karishma Prakash, talking about ‘hash’ was recovered by Narcotics Control Bureau, rumours also started to make rounds involving another big Bollywood star Salman Khan. Quashing these rumours around Salman Khan for having the majority stake in the talent management agency, his legal team had to come into scene to stop these false reports from spreading further.
As the KWAN talent company has for quite a while in news for getting late actor Sushant Singh Rajput many big movies to its employees Jaya Saha and Karishma Prakash who both were found involved in drug procuring through separate WhatsApp chats recovered by NCB. After yesterday that is on September 21, Deepika and Karishma’s WhatsApp chat came into light, KWAN talent company also stared to make headlines as its CEO, Dhruv along with his employee Jaya Saha was summoned for questioning today at NCB office.
Where KWAN was in news for all the wrong reasons, another thread started on social media sites claiming the ownership of Salman Khan in this talent management agency. But in no time Salman’s legal representatives came to his rescue and released a statement rubbishing all the rumours of his stakes ‘direct or indirect’ in this firm.
Salman’s legal team representative, Anand Desai in his statement stated, “Certain sections of the media are falsely reporting that our client Mr. Salman Khan, a leading Indian actor, has a majority stake in the talent management agency KWAN Talent Management Agency Private Limited. It is clarified that Mr. Salman Khan has no stake, directly or indirectly, in Kwan or any of its group entities. It is requested that media refrains from publishing false reports about our client.”
Meanwhile, Jaya Saha and Dhruv from KWAN are under NCB questioning due to the drug chats that came to light. Jaya during her NCB questioning gave the details of the firm KWAN she dealt with and had helped Sushant with films like ‘Drive’, ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Sonchiriya’, ‘Dil Bechara’, ‘Chhichhore’ and several other big movies. Jaya not only got SSR his last movie but helped him get 21 endorsements.
She apparently also named filmmaker Madhu Mantena Verma in drugs angle who is reportedly to be summoned by the agency soon. To note, Jaya’s name had first surfaced when a WhatsApp chat from Rea’s mobile was recovered where she was engaged in a conversation with Jaya Saha who was instructing the ‘Jalebi’ actress to mix few drops of an illegal substance in Sushant’s drink and get him drink it which within 15-20 mins will kick in.
