‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has crossed the 100crore mark on the release weekend itself, and the movie was made tax-free after director Kabir Khan requested CM Akhilesh Yadav for it in a meeting. During the meeting, CM Akhilesh told Kabir Khan that the state has possibilities for production and the state government has got a convenient film policy which helped many film makers to shoot in the state.
The state has exempted many films like ‘Tevar’, ‘Miss Tanakpur Haazir’, ‘Humari Adhuri Kahaani’ and ‘Masaan’ from taxes.
