Yes.. you heard that right! The satellite rights of his next six films have been sold already!
Hrithik has signed a Rs 550-crore deal which takes off next year, for the satellite rights of his next six films.
Until now, Salman Khan was the only actor to have sold the satellite rights of his movies at Rs 500 Crore.
The actor was last seen inÂ Bang Bang, Siddharth Anand’s official remake of the Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz actioner, Knight and Day, went on to collect Rs. 181 crore net.
Hrithik’s last four films, over the last five years, fromÂ Zindagi Na Milegi DobaraÂ in 2011 that minted 95 crore net, andÂ AgneepathÂ in 2012 that earned 122 crore net, toÂ Krrish 3Â the following year that went on to clock 188 crore net in addition to his last release Bang Bang, have done very well commercially which is the reason that this deal was inked.
In fact, 2017 will begin with a bang for him with his home productionÂ Kaabil, a Sanjay Gupta-directed action-drama, which along with Shah Rukh Khan’s RaeesÂ will be one of the first big films of the year to unveil on the Republic Day weekend.
Even before the film went on the floors, satellite rights were sold for Rs 45 crore. All the other films are expected to fetch around half a crore.
