Salman Khan Gives Fitting Reply To Those Who Gave Negative Reviews For Tubelight
Salman Khan’s Tubelight got released yesterday and it has got mixed reviews from the critics as well as audiences. The movie is set against the backdrop of the 1962 Indo-China war. It is the adaptation of the Hollywood movie ‘The Little Boy’. Chinese actress Zhu Zhu is playing the love interest of Salman and child star Matin Rey Tangu is playing Zhu Zhu’s child in the movie. Sohail Khan is playing the brother of Salman Khan and late actor Om Puri and Shahrukh Khan are in cameo roles.
There was much expectation from the movie and somewhere it has failed to live up to the expectation. Audience and critic feel that it is nowhere close to Bajrangi Bhaijjan. There were lots of melodrama and over emotions and the screenplay too was weak.
But Bhaijjan is least bothered of the reviews it has got. In a recent event, he said that he was expecting -3 and -4 and now he is happy to get 1.5 rating. He said, “The critics were really good. I was expecting minus 3 and minus 4 but they gave 1, 1.5 apparently, so I am very pleased. As per reports, people are saying they cannot see ‘Bhai’ (Salman) crying. So I asked, are they (audience) laughing and the answer was “no, they are crying”. So I said don’t worry about it.”
He further said, “As it is an Eid release, people have preconceived notions and plans to throw coins, sing and dance at the cinema hall. So they have gone to watch a certain film but get to watch another film. This film is not of a kind which you watch with your buddies as you will not get an opportunity to dance or have fun. It is a very emotional film. Even an emotionless, stone hearted person will get tears in his eyes. So this is an emotional film to be seen with parents, grandparents and entire family.”
When asked whether the movie will work or not, he said, “Look at me, are there any sign of worries on this face. I am not bothered, I know the film will do well and will be a hit and get a lot of respect.”
