Salman Khan Gets Emotional When Asked About Late Om Puri
In an earlier interview, director of Tubelight Kabir Khan also spoke about Om Puri’s character. He said, “He is a very talented actor who can play any kind of role. We were glad to have him on board for Tubelight. He has a good, positive role. It’s not a cameo like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He had already shot for his part. We will miss him, his warmth.”
Talking about working with Sohail Khan, Salman said, ” We are playing brothers in the film and the emotional scenes (with him) just messed me up. I was in tears while dubbing for the emotional scenes with Sohail. Tubelight was emotionally very draining.”
The film is set on the backdrop of Indo-Sino War of 1962. It is an official remake of Hollywood film Little Boy, which was an average hit. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Sohail Khan, late Om Puri and many more. The film also star Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role of a magician, who guides Salman’s character and tells him to believe in himself.
Overall, Salman Khan’s upcoming film is an emotional one and set to release on June 23, 2017.
