Salim Khan DENIES Salman Khan’s involvement in Blackbuck poaching; says, “Maafi maangna ye accept karna hai ki maine maara hai”
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been a target of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi ever since the actor was accused of allegedly killing a blackbuck during the filming of *Hum Saath Saath Hain* in Rajasthan. Following the tragic assassination of politician Baba Siddique last week, Salman has reportedly received new threats from Bishnoi’s gang, demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore to end their feud.
In response to these threats, Salman’s father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, has come forward to defend his son. During a recent interaction, Salim Khan denied Salman’s involvement in the blackbuck poaching case and stressed his son’s love for animals. According to Salim, Salman was not even present during the blackbuck incident. He mentioned that when he asked Salman about the accusations, the actor firmly denied having harmed any animals.
Salim Khan, best known for his work on *Sholay*, emphasized his son’s innocence, saying, “Salman doesn’t have a liking for hunting animals. He loves them. He won’t lie to me.” He further added that apologizing would be akin to admitting guilt, which Salman has never done. “We have never even killed a cockroach, let alone an animal. We don’t believe in these things,” Salim Khan remarked.
When asked about the threats and demands for an apology from Bishnoi’s gang, Salim questioned, “Salman kissey jaake maafi maangey? (Who should Salman apologize to?) How many people have you apologized to? How many animals’ lives have you saved?” He also highlighted that Salman had never committed any crime and had never used a gun. To illustrate Salman’s love for animals, Salim mentioned how devastated his son was when his pet dog fell sick and passed away.
Despite the ongoing threats, Salman Khan has resumed his role as the host of *Bigg Boss 18*, continuing to shoot under heavy security, with over 60 guards present on set. The actor has also upgraded his personal security by purchasing a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth Rs 2 crore, equipped with state-of-the-art safety features.
