Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya has been creating quite a stir among the cinefans. The film is based on the Punjabi folklore Mirza Sahiban, and it marks as the debut movie of two new faces, Harshvardhan Kapoor, son of Anil Kapoor, and Saiyami Kher, daughter of Uttara Mhatre Kher and Adwait Kher. Harshvardhan portrays the character of Mirza and Saiyami plays the role of Sahiban. By watching the teaser trailer of Mirzya, one can say, Saiyami is one fine actor. She has stunned the audience with her mind-blowing performance. And we are sure you want to know more about the gorgeous actress. Well, no, she's not related to Anupam Kher in anyway! ;) Here we present to you some of the facts about the tall and pretty lass, Saiyami Kher : Saiyami was born and brought up in Nasik, Maharashtra and for her higher education she moved to Mumbai. Saiyami is a successful model and has been a a part of Kingfisher calendar as well. She gained a lot of recognition working as a model and was a popular face among the Kingfisher Calendar models. For the ones who are thinking that Mirzya will be Saiyami's first venture, then let me tell you that it is certainly not true. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film industry with the movie Rey in 2015. The pretty lass not only was associated with the glamour industry but also was a sportstar. She has played badminton and cricket for Maharashtra at the State Level. Now that's truly impressive! Well, Saiyami chose her career in the glamour world over cricket. She refrained herself from being a part of the Indian Women’s National Cricket Team. Seems the tall and suave lady was passionate about her career in modelling. Saiyami attended St. Xavier's College in Mumbai for her higher studies and completed her graduation from the same. Saiyami is the granddaughter of the well-known yesteryear's actress Usha Kiran and is the niece of the popular actress Tanvi Azmi. Saiyami's mentors include the hugely popular actors, Tanvi Azmi, Shabana Azmi and Shaukat Azmi. No wonder Saiyami is so well groomed and fiercely talented! Saiyami has collaborated with and campaigned for various brands like Levis, Pantaloons, L'oreal, Idee Eyewear among many others and was also seen in a 7up television commercial for which she was praised and appreciated by the audience. Saiyami is the daughter of Adwait Kher and Uttara Mhatre Kher. Her dad, Adwait is a former model who runs a restaurant business now and owns restaurants named Tandoor, Aangan and the Bombay Talkies in Nasik, Maharashtra. Uttara Mhatre Kher, Saiyami's mother, is an ex-Miss India who was crowned Femina Miss India World in 1982. So now you know, being a part of the glamour industry runs in Saiyami's blood! ;) As for now, Adwait and Uttara Kher have quit the glamour world and run a restaurant business. They have also ventured into furniture business and conduct regular exhibitions in Mumbai. On the work front, Saiyami and Hashvardhan starrer Mirzya, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's directorial is all set to hit the silver screens on 7th October, 2016.
