Saif Ali Khan is an Indian movie actor and producer who were born on 16th August 1970 . He is a son of late Cricketing legend – Mansoor Ali Padaudi who was known for his royal wealth and huge estate apart from being a famous cricketer. Apart from having a stable acting career, he is an established name as producer as well in the Bollywood world. If you look at this early life, he comes from a royal family. Both from his parental sides, he has a strong base of royal kingship, which unfortunately ended with the end of British Empire. His grandfather and great grandfather has served British Indian Army by being at the key position and also played Cricket for England. His grandfather after the Indian Independence continued playing cricket by staying captain of the Indian Cricket Team. He has two sisters including the actress – Soha Ali Khan. Khan did his schooling from Lawrence School, Sanwar and then headed to England to pursue his further studies at Lockers Park School based in Hertfordshire and Winchester College.

Saif Ali Khan is known to receive a number of awards including the National Film Award and six Filmfare awards and even has been honored by Indian government with the Padma Shri award in the year 2010. Saif comes from a known family in India, his father, late Mansoor Ali Khan was a popular cricketer, while her mother is Sharmila Tagore (film actress). He started his film career in the year 1992 with the movie called Parampara of Yash Chopra, while his first hit movie is Main Khiladi Tu Anawai and Yeh DIllagi. With several flop movies and decline career phase, Khan got the chance to work with Farhan Akhtar in his movie called Dil Chahta Hai (2001), which was a game changer in his career. His performance in the next film- Kal Ho Na Ho helped him to win the Best Supporting Actor in Filmfare awards, while garnered him the national Film Award for best actor category for the movie Hum Tum in the year 2004. This gained him several wining movies like Salaam Namaste, Race, Omkara, Being Cyrus and Parineeta.

He then headed to become a film producer forming his own production company called Illuminati Films wherein he produced the movie called Love Aaj Kal, which turned out a big box office success. His other successful movies include Kurban (home production), Aarakshan, Cocktail, Race 2, Bullet Raja, Go Goa Gone, etc. A number of successful movies have made him successful movie star and produce in Bollywood and he continues to be an ace actor. Besides he is also involved in several charity work like he performed at the Telethon Concert called Help in order to raise the money for earthquake victims, similarly he went for a world tour for such types of causes. Lastly, he is also known to be involved in several controversies including the black buck case in Jodhpur during the shooting of Ham Saath Saath Hai.

Talking about his recent movies, he did Phantom, Dolly Ki Doli, Happy Ending and HumShakals to name few, while his upcoming movies include Chef, Rangoon and an untitled project by Akshat Varma. Recently, he was dragged into a controversy after he named his first child with Kareena Kapoor Khan his second wife as Taimur Ali Khan. Many fanatics and people from the right wing claimed that the actor had a name of a tyrant ruler of the Middle East History, to which he refuted in a humorous way that he should have added a disclaimer before naming his son for the same.
